Tour Itinerary

Day1. Leaving Ulaanbaatar for Tsonjin Boldog and Khukh Nuur

We will start with a full day trip out to the Khukh Nuur. The Khukh Nuur lies in the Khar Zurkh Mountain which is great green area located in Tenkhermandal town in Khentii province. The lake is a beautiful fresh watered and located 1675m above the sea level. It surrounded by brilliant forested mountain which is truly attractive tourist destination in Mongolia.
After we leaving Ulaanbaatar, will have a lunch near the Tsonjin Boldog which is about 50kms from Ulaanbaatar. This is the place where Chinggis Khaan had found a golden whip which explained on the legend. A 40m high statue of Chinggis Khaan built on horseback covered by stainless steel and surrounded by 36 columns. The visitors can walk to the head of the horse through chest of the horse, once we get there, we will see a panoramic view of the surrounding area. After visiting and having lunch there we will drive a head to Khukh Nuur where we will stay overnight there in a family ger. (Lunch and Dinner)

Day2.Driving to Baldan Bereeven Monastery

After having breakfast, we will do some horseback riding through the beautiful Khukh Nuur lake for a couple of hours before the lunch. After lunch we will get ready for another several hours of driving to the monastery of Baldan Bereeven. The remains of the Bereeven Monastery located in the depression of the Bereeven Mountain. The monastery was made by granite stone in 1777. The monastery used to have about 8000 monks there and was the religious center of the Eastern Mongolians.
We will have lunch in the green steppe near the Onon River. After visiting the Bereeven monastery we will visit a Mongolian family where we are going to stay for tonight. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day3.Drive to Deluun Boldog, the birthplace of Chinggis Khaan

After having breakfast at the family, we will drive ahead off to the Great Chinggis Khaan’s birthplace Deluun Boldog. For Chinggis Khaan’s 800th birthday, a statue of Chinggis Khaan was created in 1962 at the Deluun Boldog which is an attractive place covered with forest in northwestern Khentii region. We will visit the Chinggis Khaan’s statue there and visit Mongolian nomadic family where we are going to stay there for tonight. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day4. Drive to Khuduu Aral of Chinggis Khaan

After having breakfast at the family, we will drive to Chinggis’s Khuduu Aral, which is the place where the Great Khaan spent his childhood. We will see the monument which was dedicated to build to commemorate the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the “Mongolian Secret History”. We will visit a Mongolian family there where we are going to stay overnight for tonight. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day5.Driving back to Ulaanbaatar

After setting up at the family we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar. When we arrive to Ulaanbaatar, we will be transferred to a hostel or hotel for tonight. We will have some time to do souvenir shopping before we go to an attractive Mongolian National Folklore performance which depends on our arrival to the Ulaanbaatar. We will possibly have dinner together with our guides and drivers, after the dinner, you will be transferred to your accommodation. (Breakfast)
