Tour Itinerary

Day1. Ulaanbaatar to Terelj National Park

This morning after breakfast we will drive to a nomadic family in Terelj National Park for 80 km (about 2 hour drive) to the east. Terelj National Park is one of the national parks of Mongolia. It is connected with Ulaanbaatar by a paved road. The park also has a Buddhist monastery that is open to visitors. Park wildlife includes brown bears and over 250 species of birds and you will have a chance to see a lot of animals such as yaks, sheep, goats and horses hanging out around this National park. The Tuul River flows through the park. The park has interesting formatted rocks, and includes two famous formations named for things they resemble: Turtle Rock and the Old Man Reading a Book.
Once we got to the National Park we will have welcome lunch with the host family who will guide us to the horseback riding following days, introduction to the nomadic lifestyle, wonder around the area, cook Mongolian National foods with the host family. Stay overnight in a ger. (Lunch and Dinner)

Day2. Horseback Riding day

After having breakfast at the family, we will do a day horseback riding to the rock called Turtle and the buddist temple. During the horseback riding we will have a picnic in an open space of the National Park with our packed lunch and after lunch we will ride to the buddist temple there. After the buddist temple we will ride back to the family and have dinner. After dinner we will have free time for hiking around or playing with the kids there. We will stay overnight in a family ger. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day3. Leaving the National Park for Ulaanbaatar

This morning after having breakfast we will head off to Ulaanbaatar. Wonder around the city, visit Zaisan memorial and have free time for shopping. Enjoy a traditional folklore concert by Tumen Ekh ensemble. After visiting Tumen Ekh ensemble we can have dinner together with drivers and guides. After having dinner you will be transferred to your accommodation in Ulaanbaatar. (Breakfast)
