If you're unable to find the answer to your question in our F.A.Q please do not hesitate to Contact Us
Are airport transfers included?
If you are taking one of our tours, you will be picked up from the airport or train station free of charge. You will be transferred to the hostel or hotel you made reservation with.
Can I book extra nights of hostel accommodation before or after my tour?
Yes, in most cases we can arrange additional accommodation at our starting or ending hostels. Please contact us for price information. If we are unable to provide you with the extra nights we will give you the name of a hostel you can contact directly.
Can I join a tour late or leave it early?
It is possible to leave a tour early however you will be responsible for your own arrangements from the moment you decide to leave the tour. You would also be responsible for all costs associated with joining a tour late or leaving one early. If you feel this may be necessary please consult us, before you book your adventure.
Can you help arrange my travel visas?
Requirements for travel visas vary widely depending on your nationality and your destination. Although we are unable to arrange visas on your behalf we have provided links on our page to websites that will help you determine if visas are required. If you do require a visa you can arrange them yourself or use the services of a travel agent or visa processing companies. If you need any invitation letters tour confirmation letter or something like that, then we can easily arrange that.
How many people can join a tour?
We keep our group sizes low so you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings. This intimate size ensures that your group won't crowd your experience. You can expect average of 5 pax. Check individual trip pages for maximum group sizes.
I'm a single traveller, will I be charged a single supplement?
Most of our trips do not have a single supplement. This means that the accommodation is on a twin share basis and, if you are traveling on your own, you will be sharing a room with another traveler of the same sex. Some tours have an optional single supplement or occasionally a mandatory single supplement.
What will be the accommodation like when we are in the countryside?
We will be staying in a Mongolian national accommodation “Ger” during the tour with Mongolian nomadic families. All of the families we visit would have extra gers for accommodating our tourists. You will have more experience of true Mongolian nomads while you staying with them, than staying in a touristy ger camps. Sometimes we will be camping in an open space of Mongolia.
What clothing should I pack for one of your adventures?
We always recommend packing as light as possible however the specific requirements for your tour will vary widely depending on where and when you are traveling. You can have a look at the packing list from the Before You Go menu.
What is the most appropriate type of luggage to bring?
We strongly recommend bringing a backpack or duffel bag, as suitcases can be cumbersome and difficult to store in buses, under seats, etc... Keep in mind that you will normally have to carry your own luggage on and off buses and trains. Suitcases with wheels may not work well on dirt or cobblestone roads.
What type of ground transportation is used on your tours?
Trip specific information on transportation can be found on the trip overview page however in most cases we use private transportation for your comfort and the condition of public transportations in Mongolia is not good.
Who are my travelling companions?
For privacy reasons we cannot provide you with advance details on your traveling companions. However, our tours appeal to a wide range of travelers. Our tours are conducted in English and French and so they attract many travelers from USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
